New Traveller
Use New Traveller if you are entering Aksum for the first time or if you participated before but

Returning Traveller
Use Returning Traveller only when your prior Aksum identity has already been recognized and
entered into the current restoration system.
Basic Information
You are at an Imperial Frontier Beacon outside the territorial limits of the United Dominion
of the Aksum Imperium. This outer approach area is monitored and patrolled by Imperial
authorities, but presence here is not admission into the Imperium.
A New Era of the Aksum Imperium
Aksum Prime is the current home and operating system of the Aksum Imperium. Everyone entering
the Imperium now uses the current Aksum Prime account system, including citizens and participants
from earlier eras.
Earlier participation does not automatically mean that a current Aksum Prime account, character,
or Returning Traveller restoration record already exists. If your prior identity has not already
been recognized in the current restoration system, use New Traveller. Entering through New
Traveller does not deny or erase your earlier Aksum history; it is simply the correct current-system
entry path until a prior identity is recognized.
What the Beacon does
Provides public orientation before you decide whether to enter.
Runs a limited local telemetry scan using information your browser already makes available to this page.
Allows you to declare a travel category before opening the transit aperture to the secure Imperial Portal.
What the Beacon does not do
The Beacon does not verify citizenship, diplomatic accreditation, identity, immigration status,
or administrative authority. Those determinations occur inside the secure Imperial Portal.
No. The Beacon is outside Imperial territorial limits.
Is the scan real?
Yes, within limits. It reads local browser telemetry such as time zone, language, display size,
online state, and connection information when the browser exposes it. It does not identify you
as a citizen or diplomat and it does not perform a biometric scan.
I participated in an earlier era. Which path do I use?
All participants use the current Aksum Prime account system. If your prior Aksum identity has
already been recognized and entered into the current Returning Traveller restoration system,
choose Returning Traveller. If it has not, choose New Traveller and use the current registration
process. Former participation alone does not mean that a restoration record already exists.
Does New Traveller erase my prior Aksum history?
No. New Traveller is the current-system entry path when no recognized restoration record exists.
It does not deny or erase earlier participation or history.
What if I am diplomatic personnel?
Choose Diplomatic Personnel. Diplomatic status is not granted by the Beacon; accreditation and
standing are resolved by the Imperial system after portal entry.
What happens after I choose?
The Stargate opens, the screen transitions through the aperture, and you are transferred to the
existing Imperial Portal approach sequence.
